Teaching Biography
Creative and energetic in her approach, Sara Giita Flores is a dedicated piano and voice instructor who loves to teach all ages. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in music from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. Her musical training includes 15 years of classical piano study, seven years of classical and jazz voice lessons, and studies in healthy movement, body mapping, the Alexander Technique, the Suzuki method, and The Whole Music Approach.
Sara currently teaches private piano and voice lessons in her studio in Westminster, Colorado. Located near the intersection of Highway 36 and Sheridan Blvd., lessons are easy to access for students in Westminster, Arvada, Broomfield, Thornton, Northglenn, and Denver.
In addition to three years of experience teaching private lessons, Sara’s diverse teaching background includes teaching art courses in New York and one year in Central America teaching music, English, yoga, and core curriculum in a preschool for low-income children in Costa Rica. She is fluent in Spanish and is very pleased offer her original curriculum, Little Spanish Singers.
As an active composer and performer, Sara has sung on two international concert tours with the World fusion band, the Kundalinii Express. Her performance experience and dynamic teaching skills combined offer students an enriching lesson experience.
